As soon as I was aware of it being mental health awareness month I questioned whether there should be a mental health awareness month. Should we not be made aware of mental health all year round? Some posts I've read have said this is the month to check in on people that you haven't heard from in a while. But should this not be the norm? Other posts have shown reminders for how to deal with hard days, tips to combat anxiety, kind words sent to those that need it most, my question is, are these not essential to our everyday lives all year round? Why are they heightened in one month.
Some may argue that I'm being pedantic but I don't think I am. Mental health as we all know is extremely prominent in society,
I just think it's important to have it at the forefront of conversation always, no matter what time of year. x
